This Privacy Policy explains how BIMSheets and Tectonis EOOD process personal data when you visit the BIMSheets website, purchase or use BIMSheets, contact support, activate a license or otherwise interact with our services.
We aim to collect only the information necessary to provide BIMSheets, manage licenses and subscriptions, provide support, maintain security and comply with our legal obligations.


1. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data?

BIMSheets is developed by Lubomir Georgiev, who owns the intellectual property rights in the BIMSheets software.
Tectonis EOOD is authorized to commercially offer, sell, license and distribute BIMSheets.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you use BIMSheets, we may process the following categories of personal data.

2.1 Email address
We may collect your email address when you:

• purchase a Pro license;

• start a Pro trial;

• receive a license key;

• contact support;

• request a refund;

• communicate with us about your license or subscription.

An email address is not necessarily required to use the Free plan.

2.2 License and device information
When a license is activated, we may process information necessary to manage the license, such as:

• license key or license identifier;

• license type;

• activation status;

• device identifier;

• activation date;

• deactivation date;

• last successful license validation;

• software/plugin version;

• relevant technical information required for licensing and compatibility.

The device identifier is used to enforce the licensing rule that one license key may have one active computer.

2.3 Subscription and payment information
When you purchase or subscribe to BIMSheets Pro, we may receive or process information such as:

• Stripe customer identifier;

• Stripe subscription identifier;

• payment status;

• invoice identifier;

• subscription plan;

• billing period;

• purchase date;

• renewal date;

• amount and currency;

• email address;

• limited billing information necessary to administer the subscription.

We do not intentionally collect or store your full payment card number, CVV/security code or full payment credentials.
Payment card information is handled by the applicable payment provider.

2.4 Support communications
If you contact us, we may process the information you provide, including your email address, message content, license information and information necessary to resolve your request.
Please do not send us Revit project files or other confidential project information unless specifically necessary and requested by us.

2.5 Technical and security information
We may process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure our services, such as:

• IP address;

• request timestamps;

• browser or client information;

• plugin version;

• operating system information;

• error or diagnostic information;

• security and access logs.

The exact information collected may depend on the infrastructure and security services used by BIMSheets.


3. What We Do Not Collect Through BIMSheets Core Functions

BIMSheets is designed so that its core BIM operations are performed locally on your computer.
We do not intentionally upload, store or process your:

• Revit project files;

• BIM models;

• views;

• sheets;

• schedules;

• title blocks;

• legends;

• project geometry;

• project documentation;

on BIMSheets servers as part of normal BIMSheets functionality.
The BIMSheets plugin communicates with online services for purposes such as license validation, activation, subscription status, software update information and related technical functions.


4. Why We Process Personal Data

We may process personal data for the following purposes:
License management
To create, activate, validate, deactivate and manage BIMSheets licenses.
Subscription management
To process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds and payment status.
Customer support
To respond to support requests and resolve technical or licensing problems.
Security
To detect and prevent unauthorized use, abuse, fraud, attacks and other security incidents.
Software updates
To provide information about available BIMSheets versions and support secure software distribution.
Legal compliance
To comply with applicable accounting, tax, consumer protection, legal and regulatory obligations.
Service improvement
Where appropriate and lawful, to diagnose technical problems, improve reliability and understand the performance of the Service.


5. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the specific processing activity, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Performance of a contract — for providing licenses, subscriptions and related services;

• Legal obligation — where processing is required by tax, accounting or other applicable law;

• Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, service administration, technical support and protection of our rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests;

• Consent — where consent is required and we ask you to provide it.

We do not rely on consent where another lawful basis is more appropriate.


6. Payments

Payments for BIMSheets may be processed by Stripe.
Stripe may process payment information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
BIMSheets receives only the information reasonably necessary to identify the transaction, manage the subscription and provide the associated license.
We do not store complete payment-card information on BIMSheets servers.


7. Accounting and Invoicing

Where required, transaction and billing information may be transferred to or processed by accounting or invoicing systems, including Plus Minus, for accounting, invoicing, tax and legal compliance purposes.
The information transferred will be limited to what is necessary for those purposes.


8. Hosting and Infrastructure

BIMSheets may use third-party infrastructure and security providers to operate its website, APIs, licensing services and related infrastructure.
Depending on the final technical architecture, these providers may include hosting, cloud infrastructure, content delivery, security, email delivery, monitoring and software distribution services.
Such providers may process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
The final list of providers may be updated as the BIMSheets infrastructure changes.


9. Data Processing by Service Providers

Where a third-party provider processes personal data on our behalf, we seek to use providers that provide appropriate safeguards and enter into appropriate contractual arrangements where required by applicable law.
Third-party processors may process data in the European Economic Area or in other countries.
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we will use an appropriate legal mechanism for the transfer where required by GDPR.


10. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including:

• providing and managing licenses;

• maintaining subscription records;

• handling support requests;

• complying with accounting and tax obligations;

• resolving disputes;

• enforcing agreements;

• maintaining security and fraud prevention.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.
Some transaction, accounting and tax records may need to be retained for periods required by applicable law even after a subscription or license has ended.
When personal data is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize or otherwise securely dispose of it where appropriate.


11. License and Device Data

Device information is used primarily to enforce license activation limits and prevent unauthorized sharing or abuse of license keys.
A device identifier is not intended to provide us with access to the contents of your computer or Revit projects.
BIMSheets does not use the device identifier to inspect or process the contents of your Revit files.


12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

BIMSheets aims to use only cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the operation, security and functionality of the website and services.
At the time of publication of this Privacy Policy, we do not intend to use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising tracking technologies unless this policy and any required consent mechanism are updated accordingly.
If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced, we will provide the appropriate information and obtain consent where required by law.


13. Your GDPR Rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• obtain information about how your personal data is processed;

• access your personal data;

• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

• request deletion of your personal data;

• request restriction of processing;

• object to certain processing;

• request data portability;

• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

Depending on the system, security measures may include:

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

16. Children’s Data

BIMSheets is a professional software product and is not directed specifically at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

Some service providers used by BIMSheets may process information outside Bulgaria or the European Economic Area.

• BIMSheets functionality;

The updated version will be published on the BIMSheets website with a new effective date.
